Weekend Rewind Blog Hopping Party 5 - It's All About ProCRAFTinating

I'm writing this post with an ice pack sitting on top of my head and water dripping off my face because stupid clumsy me managed to drop a chair on my head.

Sadly there is no funny story really to go with this chair dropping incident. I was simply carry some clunky big dining chairs out to the garage to make way for some lovely new ones arriving this afternoon, ones that I only actually broke the news to my hubby about yesterday when I explained how I accidentally clicked 'buy now' and entered my credit card details when I was perusing furniture websites last weekend.

So anyway I decided to turn this simple chair moving task into a bit of an attempt to tone up the old tuck shop arms by holding the chairs above my head and raising them up and down as I carried them through the house. I mean I am not talking overly strenuous dangerous stuff here people but whilst I was concentrating on the tone and flex and not actually dropping the chairs, I wasn't actually looking where I was going and I walked the chair and myself straight into the corner of the door.

End of story

This past week has flown by and I'm pleased to report that I no longer resemble a bucket of walking snot.

I've been getting all creative again this week which I just loooove... actually I have been procraftinating which is a totally legitimate and crafty way of procrastinating and doing some crafty shit instead of the mind numbingly boring stuff you are supposed to be doing.

I painted some funky tea towels, and did a little *ahem* baking. I even started crocheting again because HELLOOO it's Autumn and so that means it's totally acceptable for you to curl up on the couch like a Nanna with your knitting.

I also did a little celebrating for a rather special bloggy milestone this week too and I even managed to complete a whole first week of Fat Mum Slim's Photo-a-Day over on Instagram. Hey that's a pretty big thing for me as I usually forget after about day 3.

Enough of my rambling, here's some of my fave posts of yours from last week's Weekend Rewind.

I blame Rachael for getting me all procraftinating this week because she made the most gorgeous jute hanging baskets which I totally fell in love with.

Any advice that helps me to get my kids to do their homework without arguments and tears, I'll take thank you very much and Tash's post on Homework tips came at the perfect time.

I loved Simone's post on how being the youngest child can be pretty darn tough and I have a whole new appreciation and understanding of my youngest boy now.

Robyn and her sugar free Coconut and Lemon Pound cake got me all inspired to bake. I didn't have coconut and I only had enough lemons for my G&T so I decided to make Banana bread instead. But since I didn't have any butter I ended up making packet mix banana muffins. Yeah whatever!

Imagine seeing the cover of your very own book for the first time? How cool is that!!! I was super excited for Francesca and the exciting progress she is making with her book.

And last but not least Carolyn got me all excited about the up and coming Palm Beach markets and reminded me I am well overdue for a bit of a mooch around the old Summer Bay.

Thanks so much to everyone for joining in with Bron and I for the Weekend Rewind. Now let's do it again yeah?
